LiÁN began her artistic career in 1998 with her first solo exhibition at the León Trotsky Museum: “Sentido infinito, 33 iconos,” a series inspired by a 16th-century Mayan Our Father. She has since presented nine solo exhibitions, including “Ensoñación” at A.R.T. Haus (Vienna, 2002), “Tierra Sensual / Sinnliche Erde” at Galeria AKH Künstlerhaus Wien (Vienna, 2007), “Nidos Ex-TENDIDOS” at the Museo de la Ciudad de Mérida (2018), and “Caminos Entretejidos: Retrospectiva 1996–2016” at the Centro de Artes Visuales. She has participated in group exhibitions across Mexico, China, Europe, South America and the United States, Europe, South America, and China. Her distinctions include recognition in Lithuania, the Silver Prize at the Qingdao International Print Biennial, and selections for major biennials in Beijing and Mérida.
