With more than 20 years of experience, Barbara Lobatón specializes in sculpture, mixed-media painting, and drawing with natural inks and pigments. She is also the creator of Iluminación Artística, a project she has developed for over 12 years, through which she designs distinctive lampshades that blend functionality with artistry. In her work, the light passing through each shade illuminates the piece from within, revealing textures, colors, and imagery in a uniquely intimate way.
Her art has been exhibited both nationally and locally, including at MACAY and the City Museum, and she has shared her passion for creativity as an instructor across various educational levels. Now dedicated full-time to her studio, she continues exploring and creating innovative work.
