Abner Vázquez holds a degree in Industrial Design from the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana–Azcapotzalco (UAM-A) and in Metalwork from the Escuela de Artesanías de Bellas Artes. A designer, craftsman, and blacksmith specializing in direct modeling, he has over 20 years of experience. Based in Mérida since 2016 he has developed projects spanning architecture, furniture, decoration, and artistic sculpture. In 2024, he won first place in the national artistic blacksmithing competition “El taller de tus sueños,” organized by Grupo Deacero. Through his project OPIA, Abner leads the aesthetic direction with a team of experts, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration. The OPIA workshop merges creativity and precision, consistently producing high-quality, expressive works that blend design and craftsmanship.
