Getting Started & Desk Procedures

Opening the Library

AROUND THE BUILDING

  • Lights on: desk, children's area, kitchen, back area, fiction & non-fiction rooms, Judd Dolle room.

  • Fans on: fiction & non-fiction rooms, near the desk, children's area.

  • Unlock the patio door & prop the outer door open near opening time.

  • If computer services are on, uncover and power up the computers and printers.

AT THE FRONT DESK

  • Take the laptop, scanner, and mouse from the credenza (lower-middle drawer).

  • Turn on the receipt printer and plug in the laminator.

  • Log in and open ResourceMate; confirm the internet is connected.

  • Start a fresh daily log sheet.
