Get a view of what’s behind the doors of the homes in Mérida’s historic central district. From modest to the mansion, colonial ruins to modern masterpieces, we’ll show you the ongoing revitalization of Mérida’s downtown neighborhoods.

Tickets may be purchased until 1:00 PM on the day before a given tour date. 

After this time, purchases can be made in-person at the tour meeting point using cash or card.

Tickets for the remaining future tour dates and for the partial-season passes will still be available.

This new policy applies to in-person purchases at MEL, and online purchases in the MEL Online Shop.

Pre-registration - whether online using this MEL Shop or in-person at the library - is not required but recommended during our busiest months of January and February when tours are often sold out. Your tickets guarantee a spot on the tour for you. If you find you need to cancel this registration, you must do so some time before the day of the tour.  We do not issue refunds for same-day cancellations or no-shows.  This is a rain-or-shine event. And please, for these tours of private homes, no smoking or pets.

We typically meet at the library each morning but sometimes visit the surrounding historic neighborhoods and will gather at nearby parks instead of at MEL for those tours. See information about the tours on our website.
