School Visits at MEL

Do you know the difference between a library and a bookstore?

When was the last time you visit a library in your city?

Do you know how to find a book and check it out?

The Mérida English Library hosts this great program “SCHOOL VISITS AT MEL”, where students of all levels are invited to discover the facilities of the only English language library in Yucatán, and learn about its functioning and programs.

Find out how useful a library can be for your career or your everyday life. Learn how to find books in our system and specific information.

Get inspired by the many stories of authors from all over the world and travel in time with books from different ages.

Become part of our growing community that finds MEL a place to visit, read, and gather.

From the Children’s Area to the Judd Dolle Reading Room, walk through the library and locate your next reading project.

School Visits are adapted to the level of each group with a talk about the library, an activity, and a group photo to remember your visit to MEL.

To schedule your School Visit at MEL consider the following:

  • All activities are held in English language.

  • A school supervisor must be present on each visit.

  • The fee to attend the visit is $20 MXN per student, collected by the school supervisor, and delivered to the administrator on the day of the visit.

  • We have a maximum capacity of 25 students.

  • All visitors must follow the library rules.

  • Students are welcome upon scheduling a visit in advance. Check our calendar and pick a date that suits your needs.

  • School visits are scheduled only on the available days on the form, in the morning during library hours.

Please fill in this form to schedule your visit and stay tuned for the administrator’s confirmation.

🔔Reminder: This is just a PRE-REGISTRATION. The administrator will confirm the date and time of your tour (The waiting time is around 1 week after sending your request).
