MEL Bingo Night - Mexican Fiesta

In September we commemorate the Anniversary of the Independence of México. The streets and homes everywhere get a festive environment as we embrace the colors of our Mexican flag.

In the same festive spirit, we are hosting MEL Bingo Night, on Saturday, September 27, with the Mexican Fiesta theme!

The Mérida English Library has been hosting this great event once a month for a while now and we like to see you having fun with us.

As usual, we’ll play 5 rounds of bingo taking short breaks for getting festive refreshing drinks from our cash bar.

Delicious POZOLE ROJO Y BLANCO will be served during the evening. This traditional Mexican dish is a delicious stew with broth made of pork or chicken meat, corn grains (hominy) and a sauce of red chilies that gives the coor to the plate. It is a food with spices but not spicy. Complemented with radish slices, shredded lettuce, chopped avocado, onion, jalapeño chilly, and queso cotija to your taste. Pozole is all about the garnishes. The library will vibrate with live Mariachi music! Be ready to dance and sing along.
