February ‘23 Wine Tasting Report
February MEL Wine Tastings have traditionally had a chocolate-and-champagne Valentine's Day focus. This year, we were over all that romance, and because the timing put us smack in the middle of Carnival season, we did Mardi Gras! We lined up a colorful venue. and convinced our retired (40 years NYC) chef snow-bird friend, also a MEL Wine Tasting regular, to sharpen his knives and whip up some rich tastes of the Big Easy to pair with our sommelier’s selected wines. Beads, feathers, and masquerade masks were perfectly acceptable.
Each month’s themed tasting features four sommelier-selected wines paired with hors d’oeuvres prepared by a local chef.
