New Zealand-born and Mérida-based, Toni has always been drawn to textiles, texture, and the comforting warmth of wool—one of her earliest memories. Her work explores the tactile and visual interactions between different fibers, focusing on how they feel, react, and complement one another. Each piece is handwoven and hand-dyed by the artist, using as many natural, foraged, recycled, and thrifted materials as possible.
