Jimmy Bonachea is a visual artist who has lived and worked in Mexico since 2008. He graduated from the Oscar Fernández Morera Professional School of Visual Arts in Trinidad and the Instituto Superior de Arte in Havana. His solo exhibitions span Cuba and Mexico, including shows at Galería Licenciado, Artículo 123, Myto, CPAP Gallery, Casa de las Américas, and CDAV. His work has also appeared in major group exhibitions such as Zona Maco, the Havana Biennial, the Mercosur Biennial, the Liverpool Biennial, and exhibitions in Germany, Ecuador, Brazil, Peru, and the United States. Across media and themes, his practice reflects a vibrant, contemporary approach rooted in experimentation and cultural dialogue
