Stefanie Schikora is a German-born artist who has lived in Mexico since 1994. Trained in Graphic Design and Fashion Design in Germany, she developed a strong foundation in drawing, painting, and illustration that continues to shape her multidisciplinary practice. Working primarily in acrylic, mixed media, collage, and drawing, her imagery ranges from the human figure and invented beings to fantastical interpretations of flora and fauna.

Schikora has presented more than 90 solo and group exhibitions in Germany, Mexico, Belize, and the United States, including shows at Centro Cultural Olimpo, MACAY, the Museum of the City of Mérida, and Galería WAYAK. In addition to her studio work, she has taught art for children and adults for more than two decades.
