Spanish Classes at MEL
We are a foreign-language teaching and training center with courses in Spanish, English, French, German, and Italian, directed to teenagers and adults. Operating since 2022 at the Mérida English Library, the center has global reach using digital tools and both in-person and online learning.

During March, the Spanish classes have some calendar adaptations. Wheater you enroll for a single class or a month, please consider this changes.
Wed - 4th - In person class at MEL.
Fri - 6th - In person class at MEL / 7:00 pm Celebration of Life of Celeste Sauls Marks, students invited to stay.
Tue - 10th - Online class via Zoom - same time.
Fri - 13th - In person class at MEL.
Tue - 17th - In person class at MEL. Library open only for students.
Fri - 20th - In person class at MEL.
Tue - 24th - Quiz Day - In person class at MEL. Library only open for students.
Fri - 27th - Social Friday - In person at MEL from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm.

Basic - Level 1

This is an introductory level for Spanish learners where basic grammar, vocabulary, and easy conversations makes it comfortable to start communicating with others.

Básico Intermedio - Level 2

Continue working on your language skills by learning more grammar structures, more vocabulary, and having fun interacting with the Spanish we learn in class.

The conversation goes on in level 3 as we explore more common expressions, complex structures, specific vocabulary, and lots of communication skills. This class is mostly in Spanish to encourage students active participation.

This is a class for those who want to start from the very beginning. Learn basic concepts of pronunciation, vocabulary to start communicating in Spanish. Level 1, Class 1.

Social Friday
Viernes Social
Friday, March 27 - Viernes 27 de marzo
5:00 pm - 6:30 pm
As part of the month fee, Viernes Social is a special class on the last Friday of the month where the students of English and Spanish gather to participate in bilingual activities designed to practice what we learned throughout the month. It’s a moment to hang out with other students, practice conversation and the end we share snacks and drinks.
Como parte de la cuota mensual, el Social Friday es una clase especial en el último viernes del mes donde los estudiantes de inglés y español se reúnen para participar en actividades bilingües diseñadas para practicar lo aprendido durante el mes. Es un momento para conocer a otros estudiantes, practicar conversación y al final, compartimos bocadillos y bebidas.
