Vivir Distinto (Living Differently)
CONVERSATIONS ABOUT OTHER WAYS OF LIVING AND THE IMAGINARIES OF TERRITORY AND THE BODY
This is a Master Class including the screening of the documentary Vivir Distinto by Tania Solomonoff, a film about body movement done in collaboration with beekeepers and meliponiculturists of Yucatán.
During 2020 a group of farmers and honey producers of apis and melipona bees, from the towns of Ticopó and Maní in Yucatán, began a project with artist Tania Solomonoff. The experience became an exchange of local knowledge and body practices around working with bees, their ways of life and the sensory exploration of their bodies. Unique and subtle moments were made in the midst of the pandemic; experiences and reflections on life, affections, nature and the climate crisis.
