Visit CRIT Teletón Yucatán
In the May newsletter, we shared the story of Marifer, a young girl with a congenital disability who reached out to our community for support in obtaining a wheelchair to improve her quality of life. Using funds generated by the Chili Cookoff and with the help of other individual donors, we were able to raise the necessary funds to help her.
This is the second time you've supported children from the Teletón. Last year, we delivered a wheelchair for Jorgito, a nine-year-old with Duchenne muscular dystrophy. Because the MEL Community has been such a generous and reliable supporter, the administration of CRIT Yucatán has decided to open its doors for a guided tour of their facilities. This is a great opportunity for members and friends of MEL to see firsthand the amazing work they do and meet many of the underprivileged children who receive therapy at this center.
It’s important to highlight that CRIT Teletón also treats adults who suffer from illnesses or accidents and need physical or linguistic therapy. Teletón offers these services at an affordable price, always in line with its philosophy of providing the highest quality support to anyone in need. Moreover, Teletón centers are among the most technologically advanced, which allows them to provide therapies with cutting-edge equipment. The Teletón program has been operating nationwide for over 30 years, thanks to the support of citizens and socially responsible companies.
You’re Invited to Join Us!
The MEL community has been invited to participate in guided tours on Tuesday, June 17 between 9:30 and 11:30 AM. Tours will be offered throughout the morning, so you can come and go as you please. We have space for up to 100 people! It’s a wonderful opportunity to discover this amazing place and witness the positive impact it has on many lives.
