US Voter Assistance

US citizens can vote wherever they are! US citizens who want to vote absentee in the 2024 elections while in Mexico need to fill out a special Federal Post Card Application (FPCA) every election year. MEL is happy to provide its facilities for the following events this month:

Monday 19th -  The Voting Assistance Officers at Democrats Abroad will be celebrating President’s Day at MEL assisting US citizens from 9:30 am - 1:00 pm in filling out and submitting the FPCA so that they are registered to vote internationally and can receive their 2024 ballots electronically. 

Wednesday 28th - The US Consulate General Merida will be holding a Voting Assistance Workshop on February 28th at 11:00 am at the Mérida English Library. A specialist from the Federal Voting Assistance Program will be at the event providing information on how to register, prepare your vote, and submit it.
