February ‘23 Wine Tasting Report

February MEL Wine Tastings have traditionally had a chocolate and champagne Valentine's Day focus. This year we were over all that romance, and because the timing puts us smack in the middle of Carnival season, we celebrated Mardi Gras at the colorful home of Edward Lukasek and Robert Bates. The committee convinced retired chef (40 years NYC) Michael Campbell, also a MEL Wine Tasting regular, to sharpen his knives and whip up some rich tastes of the Big Easy to pair with our sommelier’s selected wines. Beads, feathers, and masquerade masks were everywhere!
