🍁Canada Day🍁 at MEL
The Mérida English Library is happy to announce the celebration of CANADA DAY on Saturday, July 1st on the patio at MEL.
To honor this important day for the Canadian community, we are hosting a special Storytime, starting at 10 am. We will read the book “Why I Love Canada” by Daniel Howard.
During the event, we will be selling Canadian traditional snacks and sweets: Poutine (fries with hot gravy and cheese) and Beaver Tails (dough fried to soft, and crispy perfection, covered with sugar and cinnamon with optional toppings). You can pay with cash or credit card.
This is the way we salute to all the Canadian community who may be celebrating this day away from home, or right in their homeland.
Please, register your visit to Storytime by clicking here and selecting the dates you’d like to attend:
This edition of Storytime marks the end of the season. Then we will go on a summer break. Storytime will be back in September, with more songs, more stories, and more crafts!
This is a fundraising for the benefit of the Mérida English Library.
