Mérida, City of Light and Shadows is a photographic documentation which captures the urban landscape of a colonial city in present time. This vital city of the Yucatan in Mexico has the juxtaposition of different architectural styles; they sometimes blend seamlessly or clash, therefore providing a constantly evolving city scene which creates a challenge and an opportunity for a new generation of architects to view and experience.

This series is an exploration of light and shadows in a chaotic urban landscape setting, where the elements of the city come into play; time, space, and memory simultaneously play a role.
