Mitchel Krenz - Session Two

With falls being the leading cause of injury deaths for people over 65, this lecture series is designed to help prevent falls and injuries as we age, although the techniques discussed can be applied at any age. MEL member Mitchel Krenz will look at the usual suspects, and unusual suspects, of fall and injury causes. Lecture One will discuss some of the common, and uncommon, causes of falls and what you can do to prevent them. We will also discuss balance in Lecture One and techniques to improve your balance.

Lecture Two will discuss the importance of strength and mobility to improve your daily life and function. We will look at those activities that may be hurting us and those that may be making us stronger.

This lecture series will be interactive and scaled for all ability levels so wear comfortable clothes and plan on participation where you can. The sessions are free and open to the public, and no registration is required.
