Carlos Estrada Pinto has a degree in Chemical Industrial Engineering from the Autonomous University of Yucatan, and a Master of Science in Process Integration from the University of Manchester in the United Kingdom. He served as the general director of Academic Development at UADY, was director of the Faculty of Chemical Engineering and president of the Permanent Budget Commission. He was sworn in as Rector of the Autonomous University of Yucatan on January 1, 2023.
