Sergio's work is modern regional art, a tribute to the Yucatecan women and their traditions and customs. He paints regional landscapes replacing traditional straw houses with fruit, vases, and women in activities other than domestic ones, for example: flying kites, collecting flowers, talking, etc. He is inspired by everything experienced in his childhood and Maya ancestors. His technique is acrylic.
