After a career as museum curator, gallery owner and arts educator, Barbara returned to making ceramic art in Mérida. She loves the sensory experience of clay. Sometimes yielding, sometimes resistant - always satisfying to the touch and with form taking precedence over decoration. Her motivation, and delight, is in the discovery of how far she can push the clay from her imagination to reality, the creation of a new form.
