Javier Barrera Perera has forged a poetic path in contemporary art. A professor at the Faculty of Architecture, Habitat, Art, and Design at the Autonomous University of Yucatán, he expresses himself mainly through photography and painting, blending the symbolic, sensory, and conceptual. A graduate of the Mérida School of Fine Arts, he has exhibited in Mexico, Belize, Cuba, Italy, Spain and the U.S. Notable shows include Grao (2017), Morfalia (2019), and Crónicas Nefelibatas (2023–2024).
