Alexa Torre is a photographer and visual artist whose work explores femininity through irony and social stereotypes. She studied Communications at Universidad Anáhuac México and Photography at the New England School of Photography in Boston. Her work has been shown in Mexico, the U.S., Germany, and France, including Centro Cultural Los Pinos, Fotoméxico, and The Other Art Fair in New York. Her work has been published in National Geographic, Cuartoscuro, and Huffington Post. Her recent solo exhibition, Al ras del Cielo, was presented in Mérida.
Torre’s photographs position women as symbolic and physical protagonists, revealing the poetry of everyday life through intimate details that evoke memory.
